Daniel Williams is a classically trained clarinetist who appears with professional artists and community ensembles. He has recorded for the MSR Classics label, performed in pit orchestras for Broadway hits such as “Into the Woods”, "Once on This Island" and “The Wild Party”, and played in concert with singer/songwriter Michael Card, who has sold more than 4 million albums during his career.
Daniel is principal clarinetist of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra and the Torrington Symphony Orchestra. His recitals and guest performances have recently been heard at The Leroy Anderson House, The Frederick Gunn School, The Anthony-Klein House, Salem Covenant Church, and The Washington Montessori School.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he performed with the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Quintet, Avante Plus, and sang in the University Chorale.
A licensed CPA, Daniel has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and John Hancock Life Insurance in their Boston offices. He earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire.
Daniel has studied primarily with Kai-Yun Lu, Michael Sussman, and Larry Besserer.
Daniel previously served as music adjunct for clarinet at The Frederick Gunn School and taught wind instruments at The Washington Montessori School.
